Patient Participation Group

The Practice is looking to recruit new members for the Patient Participation Group.  If you would like to have your say on how the Practice meets the needs of its patients or you would like to be involved in any changes that the Practice makes please speak to Claire Fisher the Reception Supervisor.

Repeat Prescription Ordering

From 2nd September 2019 the pharmacy will no longer be able to order repeat prescriptions on behalf of patients. Patients who have a clinical need or are housebound and unable to do this may continue to use this service if it has been agreed by the practice direct. If you have any issues regarding this please contact the surgery direct to discuss this further with the prescription clerk. Patients can now order there prescription by the following: online, in person, by post or by fax. The prescription enquiry line is available everyday between the hours of 9am – 12.30pm on 01642 944200. From a legal point of view we are unable to take any medication requests over the phone and all requests must be submitted in writing to the practice.

Please be aware this is a CCG decision and not made by the practice and will be carried out in all local GP surgeries.

Extended Hours

From 1st April 2017 the STAR Service will be providing extended hours on behalf of the Practice. This means that patients will be able to access services usually delivered at the Practice i.e. GP and Nurse appointments between 6.30pm - 9.30pm weekdays and 8am - 9.30pm weekends. Named Accountable GP

All of the patients registered with the Practice have been allocated a named accountable GP. If you have a preference as to which GP you would like please speak to reception.

Dementia Awareness

The practice is now working alongside the Dementia Friendly Middlesbrough Project team. The aim of this project is to ensure that people living with dementia can remain active and included members of their communities!

The reception staff are undergoing training to make them more dementia aware and we are exploring ways to make our services more accessible!

If you care for someone with dementia and would like to help the practice in becoming more dementia aware, please speak to the Reception Supervisor Claire Fisher. Your input and advice would be much appreciated!
