Westbourne Medical Centre
Welcome along to our surgery website where we hope you will quickly benefit from a user friendly layout and a wealth of information about our healthcare services. Find out when we’re open and what to do when we’re not, all from the comfort of your own home.
We are currently experiencing issues with our Fax Machine - please send any repeat prescription requests via online requests, email, by your local pharmacy or by bringing it down to the Practice. We are actively trying to sort this out and hopefully should be rectified shortly. We would like to apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
GDPR came into force on 25th May 2018 - please see "Practice Policies" section for further information and to view our Privacy Notice.
Patient Participation Group
The Practice is looking to recruit new members for the Patient Participation Group. If you would like to have your say on how the Practice meets the needs of its patients or you would like to be involved in any changes that the Practice makes please leave your contact details with the reception staff.
Repeat Prescription Line
From 1st November 2017 the prescription line will no longer be taking prescription requests. This is due to a number of reasons but mainly that from a legal point of view the Practice has been advised that all medication requests must be made in writing. There are a number of ways to order your prescription such as at your local pharmacy, online, via post, fax or by visiting the Practice. The prescription line will still be open between the hours of 10am - 12.30pm for any prescription queries only.
From 1st April 2017 the STAR Service will be providing extended hours on behalf of the Practice. This means that patients will be able to access services usually delivered at the Practice i.e. GP and Nurse appointments between 6.30pm - 9.30pm weekdays and 8am - 9.30pm weekends. To make an appointment at one of the 4 hubs (North Ormesby Health Village, One Life Centre in Linthorpe, Redcar Primary Care Hospital, East Cleveland Hospital in Brotton) please contact the Practice on 01642 277000 or 111. For more information please visit the Practice or contact us directly.
The Practice was inspected by CQC in November 2015 and received a rating of GOOD. Please click on the below link to see a copy of the report.
